Niti Bahn - Best Closing Plenary Ever

OK, I admit, I wasn't ready for it, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about her talk - the friction was intense - it wasn't what anyone was expecting (including me). Who are we? Why are we here? What happens when conspicuous consumer culture meets intense third-world poverty? I don't have answer - I don't claim to have answers - does anyone? But I do know that I can't look at what I do the same way again.
